Training and Workshops for advancing NRENs. 8 - 11 September, 2014, Chisinau, Moldova
As part of the GÉANT project, Digital Inclusion (Task NA4/T4), Campus Best Practices (Task NA3/T2) and TERENA Development Support in co-operation with CEENET and EaP countries are involved in organising a series of trainings and workshops aimed at raising staff competences at NRENs and their Members in Eastern Europe. The trainings and workshops are open to all GÉANT participants and specially targeted at Eastern European countries.

THE GÉANT PROJECT (GN3PLUS).YEAR 1 HIGHLIGHTS.
This document presents Year 1 highlights of the EC funded GN3plus project from April 2013 to March 2014.
     GÉANT, the pan-European communications infrastructure serving Europe’s research and education(R&E) community, delivers advanced multi-domain services and facilitates joint-research activity that drives innovation. Together with Europe’s National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), the GÉANT network reaches over 50 million users in 10,000 institutions.
 
TERENA launches series of e-infrastructure workshops in Eastern Europe
The first of a series of e-infrastructure workshops were held from 16-20 June, in Sofia, Bulgaria, targeting countries inthe Eastern Partnership region specifically. Almost 50 people fromuniversities, libraries and NRENs (national research and education networks) from ten Partnership and other Eastern European countries participated. Further workshops will follow later in the year.
